For students moving out of state
We're a small team in San Diego that helps students move in and out. This fall, we're giving $500 to one out of state student at a Southern California school. No fee. No catch you can't see. Apply by Halloween.

Who's behind this

I started moving boxes for college students in 2024 to help pay my own tuition at SDSU. That side hustle turned into College Cubbies.
Every move-in day we meet out of state families who flew across the country, paid for extra bags, and are still stretching every dollar. This $500 is for one of them.
Our team reads every finished application. A real person will call the winner.

Why we started this
Distance adds up fast. Flights, shipping, extra baggage fees — out-of-state students pay a hidden tax just to get their life to campus.
$500 is real money. A dorm setup, a plane ticket home for break, textbooks — it lands right when it's needed most.
One student, chosen from real stories. No gimmicks — we read every finished application and pick the story that moves us.
Exactly how it works
You, a parent, and your home address.
We send you one short question. Reply with your answer. Applications without a reply aren't considered.
Late entries roll into our next scholarship round.
We call and email both the student and the parent.
Coordinated with the parent or guardian on the application.
The honest part
Real talk: we want out of state families to know College Cubbies exists before summer move-out. Helping one student with $500 is a better way to say hi than another ad.
That's the whole catch. You'll hear from us about storage, and you can unsubscribe with one click.
What you'll need, and why we ask
Step 1 of 3 — Tell us about yourself
Check your email — we've sent you the next steps to finish your application.
You must complete those steps, or it won't be considered— we're only reviewing applications we've heard back on.
Real students, real move days
